Kevelaer, a town in the Lower Rhine region, is known for its places of pilgrimage, the Niederrheinisches Museum für Volkskunde und Kulturgeschichte ("Lower Rhine Museum of Folklore and Cultural History"), the mosaic and stained glass workshops, and not least due to its proximity to the Roman town of Xanten. The hostel is located on the outskirts of the town on Schravelener Heath.
Arriving by public transport
By train to Kevelaer station, then walk to the hostel (about 20 to 30 minutes, towards Winnekendonk).
Or: take the number 53 bus (Monday to Friday) to the "Schravelener Heide" stop, then walk to the hostel (about 10 to 15 minutes). The buses run every 2 hours.
Arriving by bus or car
Take the A40 or A57 to the Moers junction, continue on the A57 towards Kleve/Nijmegen until the Sonsbeck/Kevelaer exit, continue via Kevelaer-Winnekendonk until shortly before Kevelaer, turn right into Grotendonker Straße and immediately turn right again.
